Project: Six Degrees of Inspiration
Year: 2016
Type: Book, Installation

Six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away. In this project it’s about six degrees of inspiration.

The starting point was producer Legowelt also known as Danny Wolfers a key part of the Dutch West Coast scene and Bunker Records. During the process of gathering content connections to other topics were made. The publication includes content about producers Legowelt and Phochos, architect Takasaki Masaharu and Berghain’s creative director Yusuf Etiman.

The second part of this project is an installation. A space within a space. This space has to connect the different topics of the publication and also with its environment. The inspiration for this installation came from architect Takasaki Masaharu. In his work he makes connections between buildings and their environment in which people connect with nature and each other.
